Onyeka Uzoukwu, LLB (Hons) BL, LLM

Mr. Onyeka Uzoukwu holds dual practicing qualifications having first qualified in Nigeria as a barrister and solicitor in 1998 and then enrolled as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in August 2002. He holds a bachelors degree in law (LLB), a vocational barrister-at-law degree (BL) and master of laws degree (LLM) in Environmental Law and Management.

Having been called to the Nigeria Bar in 1998 Mr. Uzoukwu was actively involved in advocacy at the Magistrates’ and High Court. In September 2000 he left Nigeria for the University of Wales, Aberystwyth where he pursued his postgraduate studies. In April 2002 he successfully passed the College of Law’s Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test. Since September 2002 he has remained in active legal practice starting off as an assistant solicitor and then partner. In March 2008, he went solo and established Liz Solicitors which later merged with another firm in 2010 and was restyled Julliz Solicitors.

Mr. Uzoukwu’s specialist areas of practice are Conveyancing, Family Law and Criminal defence. He has been dealing with conveyancing since 2004 and has over the years handled all manner of property transactions. He trained and became criminal duty solicitor in 2011. Since then he has represented both private and publicly funded clients from simple Road Traffic offence to drug and rape matters.

Mr. Uzoukwu is a compulsive reader and researcher of case laws and procedures. He represents his clients without exception with much compassion and has over the years consistently received positive feedbacks from his numerous satisfied clients
